We are looking for a Business Systems Analyst! This is an excellent opportunity to collaborate with public works, implement and leverage the functionality of new and existing technology systems, and support various key IT projects!
This is a remote contract opportunity, if you are located in the larger Portland metro area, you may be required to come into the office on an "as needed" basis.
This role will be focused on a few projects, providing support to: determine business objectives, define scope, detail requirements, manage change, coordinate staff and help implement solutions.
Potential projects include:
- Enhancing public sector applications to provide workflow and automation for City Council meetings, such as agenda item workflow, management and publication.
- Implementation of a parks reservation system.
- Migrating legacy web apps to modern infrastructure, using Microsoft 365 tools, such as Lists, PowerApps, PowerBi, Power Automate.
The position will need to prepare and maintain training materials and manuals and make presentations to internal users. Documenting business processes and writing technical reports will be needed. This position requires someone with active listening skills, and the ability to effectively relay information in non-technical terms to end users.
The individual will need to be able to work both independently and collaboratively within a team, using effective communication skills to collaborate with staff from various divisions.
